Friday, March 7th, Americans will come together in support of scientific research and funding. Science matters! In the past 100 years, science has saved millions of lives through breakthrough inventions like antibiotics, vaccines, biomedical treatments and so much more. Scientific discoveries allow us all to live healthier and longer lives.
What Can You Do:
- Join the March: Participate in a march near you to show your support for science. Together we can make a difference.
- Support Research: Advocate for more funding in science, like public health, biodiversity, biomedical research, climate science, epidemiology, oceanography, environmental health …
- Be an Advocate: Talk about the importance of science with friends, family, and coworkers. Awareness of the importance of science and caring leads to action.
As ocean lovers, we know how important it is to protect our oceans. Healthy oceans are key to our own health, and science helps us understand how to keep them safe and thriving. Ultimately for our own health and wellbeing.
